The Children's ENT service

The Paediatric clinic is devoted to the care and treatment of children with ear, nose and throat problems.

Children require special attention. Mr Sheehan provides a child friendly atmosphere for their consultation.

As an ENT surgeon trained at world renowned children's hospitals and now working at both Manchester Children's Hospitals - the new Royal Manchester Children's hospital on Oxford Road and North Manchester Hospital Children's Unit as a consultant paediatric Otolaryngologist (ENT Doctor). Mr Sheehan provides a special experience for your Child's consultation.

Any surgery that is necessary is provided with a consultant paediatric anaesthetist to provide the full specialist care for your child.

The full spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat problems in children are managed in the clinic.

Hearing loss, glue ear, sleep apnoea and snoring, recurrent tonsillitis, nose and sinus problems, prominent ears, perforation of the ear drum are among the common problems encountered in children.

Mr Sheehan can provide access to services that an over-stretched NHS may not be able to offer and certainly all non-urgent surgery - routine tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, insertion of grommets - can be scheduled at a convenient time for both parents and children.

Mr Sheehan operates on Saturday mornings with many procedures performed as day-cases. Children are cared for by experienced paediatric trained nurses before and after their operation.
