The Paediatric and adult voice clinicA clinic devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of voice problems. Professional singers or individuals with a high level of voice usage (e.g. call centre personnel and teachers) who experience voice problems will benefit from a dedicated voice assessment. A consultation with Mr Sheehan will provide a detailed evaluation of the larynx (voice box) with a stroboscope. What is a stroboscope?A stroboscope is a video camera system that visualises the larynx in slow motion. This allows for very detailed examination of the structure of the voice box. Treatment in conjunction with a dedicated voice specific speech therapist is focused to the specific problems identified from the stroboscopic examination. A consultation at the Spire Healthcare Hospital, Manchester (previously BUPA Hospital Manchester) provides a detailed explanation of your voice problem explained to you with the aid of video images of your voice box. To make a private appointment and discuss fee structure please contact Mr Sheehan's private secretary. See links page for information on private speech and Language therapists |
